The five-tier jubako is a traditional multi-layered box used in formal celebrations, where the number of tiers symbolizes the abundance of blessings. The grape and arabesque motifs represent the richness of the grape harvest and the intertwining vitality of the arabesque pattern, embodying wishes for prosperity and growth.

Maki-e is a technique that decorates lacquer surfaces by sprinkling gold or silver powder. The grape and arabesque design on this five-tier jubako harmonizes traditional Japanese beauty with the delicate craftsmanship of the artisans.

HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

 • This is a delicate work of art made from natural wood and finished with multiple layers of hand-applied lacquer. Please avoid strong impact, pressure, or dropping, as this may cause cracking or surface damage.

 • Keep out of direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and damp or dry environments. Store in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

 • After use, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth and immediately follow with a dry cloth.

 • Not suitable for microwave ovens, dishwashers, or dryers.
